Kinda Classy, Kinda Hood

A lot of people find it interesting or even surprising that I love listening to rap music (did I mention I can spit a few bars of old Nicki and even some Honey C?), but I think that it's a good thing to keep it interesting.

I've been doing a lot of thinking lately about who I am and what I stand for and also what I want out of life (anyone want to see my vision board?!), and though one side of me is always going to be the super pink planner that loves to follow the rules - I've also got a bit of a fiery side as well.

I have always been someone who gets very anxious about everything and cares way too much about what people think - and also what they think of me. I am slowly coming to realize that I don't need to care that much - because as long as I believe I am a good person and that I'm always working on myself - it shouldn't matter that much.

Through the years of living on my own now and having to do a lot of "adulting",  I think this experience alone has made me a much more "chill" person. I don't see myself as uptight as I used to be, and I think I'm growing in the right direction.

So yeah, I listen to some hood tracks - but I'm still a good girl on the inside. That's who I am, and that's what I choose to embrace.

P.S. if you ever want to peep my playlist, find me on Spotify

Today's look brings out some urban vibes with the black hoodie and striped pants combo. I love the touch of the pink furry bag as well (a total "Mikayla" piece).

Have I ever mentioned that I have a love for Converse? They are super comfortable and really versatile! They go with any of my casual looks. And yes - I do own a pink pair of these as well.

  1. I love converse too! The best thing you can do for yourself is not give af about what other people think!

Generally I'm really good at not caring what other people think but for some reason when it comes to my phone and doing stories and such in public I get in my head and don't do it .I need to take my own advice and not care

Also, I'd love to see your vision board! Post it on insta <3
