90's Nostalgia: Spring 2019 Hard Candy Goodies Review

Hard Candy is a brand I've always seen and heard of, but never actually got my hands on. When I had the chance to try their new Spring 2019 collection complete with a Glitter & Chrome Eyeshadow Duo, Matte Velvet Lip colour and Liner, to Pink Baked Highlighter Trios, I knew this was something I had to try out.

These quality drug store products come in at an affordable price point and I was really impressed with a few of the items I got to try out.

I received the shade "Forget Me Not" (below) and it almost has a pink tinge to it and looks like a nice nude lipstick. I swatched it and also tried it on my lips and although I am not a fan of this pale shade against my super pasty skin tone, I really enjoyed the comfort and feel of this matte lipstick. I am not a fan of pencils, so I never tried it with the liner, but I am hoping to get my hands on a better colour from their collection to put these two to the long-wear test. I think that their shade in "Sweet Pea" might be a better fit for me!

I believe I got the duo "Jupiter Rocks" and I love this warm bronzy mix. The chrome and glitter are very fun to play with and I even added some of the glitter to a lip look in this photo

I would love to test the fun colours as well - Hard Candy has a blue mermaid shade and also a cute pearl/pink duo as well. Would totally use these in my looks, since I love playing with colour cosmetics!

This lip gloss is the coolest! I got the colour "Cosmo" and it's a sweet little magenta shade that plays in with my signature pink lip perfectly. I love how plump and sparkly it makes my lips look and feel!

And my absolute fave: the baked powder highlighting duo

This pink/mauve trio comes in the prettiest opal and pinky iridescent shades. Pink is my thing and out of everything I got from Hard Candy, this item was probably the one I was most excited about for Spring! I love to pop these on my cheekbone, just under the arch of my brow, the cupid's bow on my lips or even over eyeshadow on my eyelids. The more pink + shimmer, the better!

The marbleized effect also adds a luxe feel to the product and looks SO aesthetic.

I also tried out the glow setting spray.

This product just doesn't work for my skin, but I would recommend it to anyone who has dry skin and is looking for that luminous glow. For myself, I have super oily skin and would prefer a more mattifying look.

Have you tried Hard Candy products before? Let me know your thoughts on them!
