Blogging has been one of my favourite hobbies for the last 6+ years.
I'm so happy that I found a creative outlet that has helped shape me into who I am today. Blogging has allowed for so much self expression and also been a great way of combining all things I love: writing, photography, fashion and beauty.

Meeting New Friends
When I first moved to Toronto in 2015, I knew almost no one here! Aside from school, the internet (through blogging) was a place that I met so many of the friends that I have today. I would find other Toronto bloggers on Instagram and arrange to meet up for coffee and we would instantly become friends! I'm so thankful for the people that came into my life and decided to stay.
Networking
Another huge benefit to blogging has been the networking part. I've had the opportunity to connect with so many fashion and beauty industry people through my blog. Makeup artists, hair stylists, freelancers, nail techs, etc. You never know where your next connection will land you!
Attending Events
Getting invited to events held by brands and other PR agencies are so much fun! I remember within the first few months of living in Toronto, I was invited to an exclusive NYX Cosmetics store opening media event - and I couldn't believe it. It was a super cool VIP experience and they gave us so many goodies! I love taking friends as my plus one and getting to meet lots of other bloggers at these kinds of events.
Some of my other favourite/memorable events have been Call It Spring's Content Lab, Essie's TLC Preview at Her Majesty's Pleasure and all of the NYX Cosmetics Halloween parties in the past.
Clothing / Product Budget
Another perk to blogging has been the opportunity to receive and try out new products and even get sent clothes to style in IG posts. Living on my own in Toronto can get expensive and having access to some free items every now and then is extremely helpful! Some of my favourite product collaborations have been with Blue Vanilla, Cake Beauty and Brüush.
