Ditch Your Comfort Zone

Familiarity is comfort. But sometimes, the things that are “comfortable” or “safe” get a little boring and we feel the need to spice up our lives. Or, at least I do.

During the beginning of 2019, I was feeling a little lost - and sad. Lots of anxiety for no reason in particular - and worried about things that I had no control over. (Typical mik).

When I was in high school, my business teacher used to always ask me why I was so unsure of myself. I told him that I didn't know. So he took a piece of chalk and wrote on the board "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself". And this is basically the definition of my life as of lately.

I'm not sure what I'm always so afraid of - fear of judgement, fear of not being good enough, fear of losing someone/something.. but it's about time I stopped being so scared. Sometimes the best things in life are on the other side of fear.

So here’s to the new blog name, my secret project (that is soon to be announced!) and switching things up.

Today’s look is this thrifted two piece set. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I love thrift shopping! Do you guys want to know where I find the best pieces? I’d be happy to share in a blog post soon.

Ok and I need to point out that these photos were taken by my very patient brother at The Don CeSar (also known as The Pink Palace). It is such a stunning location and i’m living for all the pink here! such a perfect place.

Thanks for reading today
