Spring 2021 Fashion Trends

With lockdown extended here in Ontario, days of being stuck indoors due to this pandemic keep feeling longer and longer, I can't help but dream of Spring time.

I get so excited about new trends each season - especially when they involve pink and pastels! S/S21 predictions do not disappoint and I can't wait to see how these themes play out and come to life in the fashion world this Spring.

Trend 1: Pastel Candy Colours

I am a pastel lover, and seeing these shades on the runways for Spring 2021 make me so happy. Who doesn't love baby Easter hues for Spring?

Trend 2: Mermaid

I was pleasantly surprised to see some "under the sea" elements and mermaid silhouettes made the runway for SS21. There was even a whole collection inspired by the sea, done by Versace. I loved reading about this and even quotes from Disney's The Little Mermaid were sprinkled in from fashion writers!

Trend 3: Delicate Florals

As we all have heard WAY too many times now, "florals for spring... groundbreaking." I think I will continue to quote this each Spring, even though it gets old (and you guys might get sick of hearing it, haha). I love a good floral print and I love the beautiful designs I see from LoveShackFancy and Luisa Beccaria.

Trend 4: Long Shorts

I am guilty of owning way too many pairs of short shorts and other than biker shorts, I've never delved into long shorts before. I think this will be a trend we will see all over our IG feeds as soon as the temperatures start rising.

Trend 5: The Pink Suit

Last but definitely not least, I am most excited for lots of powerful pink suits! I saw so many shades of pink all over runway images for S/S21, but I saw many different suits and I think this will be my time to shine. I currently have 4 pink suits in my wardrobe and yes, I plan on continuing to grow this collection!
