Where to Take Yourself on a Date in Toronto this Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is fast approaching, and if you're like me, you're feeling the love - but not in the traditional sense. As a single gal living it up in downtown Toronto, I'm all about treating myself right, especially on Valentine's Day!

So, why not embrace your single girl era and turn the holiday into a self-love celebration and plan a solo date in this amazing city? Here are four places I recommend taking yourself on a date this Valentine's Day:

 1. Pick up a pink latte and flowers for yourself at Olivia's Garden

This adorable café and flower shop is a fabulous idea for Valentine's Day solo. If you've never tried it before, I highly suggest ordering a cup of their stunning Signature Elderberry Latte. It's literally pink, and it tastes deliciously sweet with notes of floral blueberry. It's chard tea served over milk with house-made elderberry and white peony syrup. Their flower selection towards the back of the shop is also gorgeous. Make sure you get yourself something extra special!

Olivia's Garden also hosts brunch in their kitchen Friday-Sunday from 12-4. I've never had brunch there before but the menu sounds delicious!

2. Galentine's dinner @ PIANO PIANO

PIANO PIANO is a an amazing option (especially for a single pink lover) this Valentine's Day. You can't go wrong with Italian food either (theirs is literally so delicious). My favourite location is the one at 88 Harbord St in Toronto. Be sure to snap a few pics with the girls outside in front of their pink wall! 

The newest location at 55 Colborne St just opened as well, and apparently they have a full-size carousel horse in their lower-level bar and the entire space is extremely whimsical—filled with peacock feathers, leopard prints, mirrors, chains, and dinosaurs. I hope to check it out very soon myself!

If you make it a Galentine's lunch instead of dinner, enjoy their lunch special (Appetizer + Pizza or Pasta + Dessert) for just $34.

3. Valentine's Single Mixer Event

I came across this event online happening on February 12th and it sounds like a fun time! It's essentially a costume party that will have a live DJ, snacks, drinks, dating games +more. If you're looking for singles events/mixers in Toronto, there are a bunch happening up and around February 14th. 

4. Watch LA LA LAND in Theatres 

Taking yourself on a date to the movie theatre is always talked about as a must-do experience. Now is your chance to try it out! LA LA LAND is playing at the Revue Cinema in Toronto on February 14th at 6:30 pm.
