Reality of Finding "The Dream Job"

I have been told many times that I seem to be "living the dream" - and as much as I am grateful for the life and the opportunities I have been given, I still find myself falling out of love with my situation in many ways. 

I actually don't think that there is such thing as a "dream job". I say this because a job is a job - and you have to take the good with the bad. There will always be things about the job that make you unhappy or force you to face struggles, but it's all in how you deal with it and what you make of it that really matters. 

Lots of individuals (including myself) tend to want to make the best of their situation and go about life as though everything is alright. The job is great, their social life is great, they're thriving, etc. 

Social media does a great job in covering up struggles. We are so used to putting on a smile and acting like everything is perfect - only ever really showing the good parts of our lives, our blossoming careers and all the amazing things we get to do. Don't get me wrong - I love seeing these positive things and I am all for celebrating even the tiniest victories - but sometimes, this is not always reality.

You may work so hard to get the job you've always wanted, and still not be happy. You may never be satisfied. You may get there and realize that it's actually not as perfect as you imagined. There will be struggles no matter how perfect you think something might be - and that's reality. 

Is it worth it to fight through the struggles? Will the situation ever get better? Will I feel fulfilled if I keep this up? These are constant thoughts on my mind.

What I'm trying to say is, a job is not really a dream at all - it's hard work.
