2018 What's Good

Happy New Year! 2018 has arrived and I can't wait to see what will happen this year. Working on my career, meeting new people, and exploring more avenues of creativity - with lots of pink of course!

As I sit in my Toronto apartment writing this post - listening to new Eminem music that my brother got me hooked onto, just back from a week in my hometown spent with family - I sit here and think about how great 2017 was. There were some pretty big accomplishments and life lessons learned.

I feel like I have really learned more about myself this past year, and it has helped me narrow down what I want out of life, what relationships I should pour myself into (and which ones I shouldn't), what I'm good at (and what I struggle with).

2017 was great, but bring on 2018! I have so many more goals, projects and ideas I can't wait to dive into this year.

Looking back at 2017, here are a few things I did...

2. Got my first full-time job in digital marketing

3. Another solo flight to Florida (to visit my Grandma!)

5. Published 100+ blog posts

6. Had the opportunity to do freelance work and make some money from blogging, photography, and product stying

7. Joined a Lutheran church in Toronto

8. Uploaded 50+ YouTube videos

9. Bought myself new glasses (and finally got contacts, too!)

10. Got my hair dyed pink (twice!!)

11. Finally bought myself a new phone (peace out Samsung)

2017 was definitely a year of beginning to define myself as a professional. I got my first full-time job about a month after graduating from my fashion marketing program, and not really sure where it would lead me. Keeping up with the blog, content creation, work, social life, family, travel, etc have been a true test - both mentally and physically! I have been blessed with so many loving people in my life, amazing opportunities, and so much to be thankful for.

Some of my goals for 2018 include...

1. Try new things, experiment with my style, and switch things up with my content

2. Plan vacations, travel some more

3. Take on more freelance jobs and gain more work experience

4. Connect with myself, build more meaningful friendships and relationships and continue to grow

5. Let go a little bit, try not to take control/plan too much

Watch my 2017 recap video below! A reflection of all the [pretty cool] things I got to do and lots of time spent with friends and family in between the big city, Florida, and my hometown!
