Dusty Rose Dress

Today I'm sharing this dusty rose coloured dress against this amazing baby blue wall I happened to find in Toronto. I am super excited to finally start styling some spring looks for the blog!

I matched a warm brown shade of matte liquid lipstick with this outfit and a cute floral blazer from one of my favourite online sites, Lulu's.

At the time of this photo shoot, the sun was out and the weather was perfect - so I had these round Calico sunglasses to pop on as well. That same day just a few hours later, there was a snow storm!! Blair and I were very lucky to get these photos just in time.

WHAT I WORE:

Dress // Forever 21
Blazer // Lulu's
Shoes // H&M
Sunglasses // Calico
Lipstick Shade // Ruffle Trim by NYX (Liquid Lingerie)

My All-Time Favourite Eyeliner

This is my FAVOURITE eyeliner! There is nothing else I would rather use to create my everyday winged liner. Keep reading to find out why!

The Stila "stay all day" liquid eyeliner is the only liner I've ever used and actually relied on to stay put all day. I have tried many before, but they just don't do the job the way that Stila does it. This black waterproof felt-tipped liner is the best beauty tool you can use for the ultimate cat eye. It also is super easy to use.

This is the swatch of the liner. In one gentle stroke, you can see how pigmented it is.

The felt tip on the pen is very flexible and bends just enough when creating your wing. It is easily manipulated, and does not transfer too much product or drip if too much pressure happens to be added. I am no liner expert, but I do have to say I love creating my wings with this eyeliner specifically!

Tips for perfecting your winged liner:

♡ Start by drawing a line with a felt-tipped liquid liner along your upper lash line. Start in the centre of your eyelid, and draw a line to the outer corner of your eyelid. You can extend the line as close to your inner corner as you would like as well. Stay as close to your lash line as possible.

♡ Next, extend the line up and out of your outer corner, as if you are bending the line to create your cat eye. The line will extend diagonally up and out.

♡ Then, connect the bended line you just created with a smaller bend, just above.

♡ You now have an empty bended triangle at the outer corner of your eye. Fill in the space with your felt tipped liquid liner, and your cat eye is complete.

My skin is normally very oily, and so are my eyelids throughout the day. Any other liners I have tried are not smudge-proof, and end up transferring above my eyelid throughout the day. And that is not a good look!

This is the only liner to date that I have been able to trust for everyday use! Especially once you have created an admirable wing, you want it to be able to last throughout your busy day!

You can purchase this eyeliner at Sephora or Shoppers Drug Mart.

Great Snacks for on the go

Today on the blog I will be sharing some of my favourite snacks to take on the go with me! I like to have a little snack to take along with me when I'm going to school for a long day of classes, on the subway, or in the car / on the road. There are some options for the sweet tooth as well as some healthier options.

"Nutella and Go"

The first snack I am going to talk about are these amazing "Nutella & Go" snack packs! These individual containers hold crunchy white bread sticks (almost like a cookie/cracker) and a compartment of the beloved chocolate Nutella spread. These are super easy to fit into a bag or purse and are a delicious snack.

Cup of Berries

Fruit is a great light snack that is super nutritious as well. My favourite fruits are berries - raspberries, blackberries and strawberries specifically. you can get these pre-made berry filled cups at your local grocery store, or you can purchase the berries separately, wash them, and create your own mixture in a reusable dish. Berries are also rich in fibre, pack lots of antioxidants, and are a great source of Vitamin C.

Baby Carrot Individual Packs

I love these mini carrot packs! They hold the perfect amount of carrots for one person. I love purchasing these instead of the huge packages of baby carrots because I find that if I open a big bag, they go bad a lot faster. With the little individual packs, I am able to open them only when I am going to eat them and they are easy to take on the go with some ranch dip in a separate container! Carrots are also an excellent source of Vitamin A.

Brookside Dark Chocolate Bites

I am obsessed with this fruit-filled dark chocolate pieces. These mini packs are super handy for on the go, too. I find that these little packages are a bit hard to open sometimes though, so if you don't want to always keep scissors with you while traveling, I would suggest purchasing the large zip lock bag of your favourite flavour, and transfer your amount for the day into a zip lock bag.

Kashi Dark Chocolate Coconut Bars

These granola bars are amazing! I love how satisfying they are and how good they taste. Kashi in general is a great brand for snacks. Find these at your local grocery store!
