I am SO excited for spring! Warmer weather is coming and that means hopefully ditching the winter coats and boots soon here in Toronto. Even if it’s dressing up in my apartment and only enjoying the weather when I do my weekly grocery run, I’m here for it!
I've teamed up with Femme Luxe again to style and review some more of their pieces. I wanted to share the items I picked out for spring and my review on each one so far. If you missed my haul and review from last time with Femme Luxe, you can find that post here.
This little leopard dress is the cutest. I love the ruched side that makes this silhouette even more flattering. The material is a super lightweight silky slip feel and the print is this amazing leopard design. I have to say, the dress is a little short and I definitely would wear little black shorts underneath, but other than that, I absolutely love it!
I would wear this dress with a baby pink bag and some strappy black heels. Can’t wait to wear it out as soon as our Covid situation gets under control!
This top is the cutest! What drew me to it was the front tie and the puffy organza sleeves. I’ve been seeing puff sleeve tops everywhere lately and I have a few of them now. (In pink too, of course!).
When we are finally able to go out again and do dinner/coffee with friends, I think this would make for a great going out top. Until then, this will just be a great summer top that I’ll wear when I want to get dressed up at home.
In terms of my overall thoughts on the piece, it’s super cute. (Duh!). The only comment I would make is that I don’t love how cropped this top is or how the top is literally a piece of small fabric you tie around your bust. I guess I was picturing it to have a little more coverage and a better way to tie it up. Something more secure! I appreciate a bit more fabric in the tops I wear, so for next time I'm going to try layering this with a bralette in order to cover up more.
This sweatsuit is not something I would typically pick, but it is adorable and BEYOND comfy! I love the elastic cropped waist band on the sweater and the super cozy joggers. I love everything about this tracksuit set.
Of course, I had to snag another pink loungewear set. This one is super lightweight and breathable for spring. The colour is a perfect baby-coral pink and the fabric has a ribbed texture to it as well. It comes with a belt/ribbon and you can tie it around your waist to create the perfect silhouette.
I love the airiness of the lightweight fabric and like I said, the colour is amazing. Be aware that this fabric is very pale and almost a tad see-through. I would recommend wearing nude seamless panties (just to be safe), but not to worry! This set is two pieces and meant to be worn together so the top IS long enough to cover you. It ends up working out that way and it looks amazing!
