As you may or may not know, my college program runs a little different than normal schools, and I started a new term at the beginning of October! I got this package from Jouviance Beauty just in time to add these products into my back-to-school beauty essential routine. Read my full review for each of these items below!

How To: Soft Skin in Winter with Bioderma
It's been so cold lately! In the continuation of winter, I have decided to write another helpful post on how to have soft skin in winter. If you missed my 'How to have Soft lips in Winter" read that here.
Bioderma sent me these three products - and they are the definition of skin survival in cold weather!
Atoderm PP Balm:
The first step to having soft, hydrated skin for me in winter is to have a great body lotion or cream.
This stuff is amazing because it soothes irritation and itching - caused by dry skin. It also has long lasting benefits that repair your skins barrier and preserves your skin's biological balance.
I apply this balm all over my hands, arms, legs, back, and feet - either right after my nightly shower, or before I get into bed. Those are my driest areas! I get a lot of tightness / discomfort especially on my lower back from dry skin. This stuff soothes, it and definitely does the trick!
The balm does have a bit of a greasy feel on my hands, but it eventually does absorb into my skin, and I don't even notice it!
Price: $29.95
Available in Drug Stores
Atoderm Shower Gel:
My favourite part of my soft skin routine is lathering up with this Bioderma shower gel! It's super nourishing and very gentle on your skin. I like to lather it up with my hands in the shower and use it directly over dry areas of my body. It leaves my skin super soft afterwards!
Price: $19.95
Available in Drug Stores
Atoderm Lips:
This natural raspberry flavoured lip balm is my new fav! I can't get enough of the amazing soft texture of it and the ability it has to repair my lips. My lips get super chapped in the winter weather, and especially with wearing super matte lipstick all the time. This stuff is a lifesaver!
If you want to know more about hydrating your lips this winter, read my other post here.
Price: $6.95
Available in Drug Stores

Perfect Products for Date Night
Valentine's Day (or Galentine's Day) is approaching and it's time to get ready for a fun night! Whether it be with your significant other, or a best friend - if you're going out, here's some great products to try for your "date night" makeup routine!
This eyeshadow palette is one of my all-time favourites it has an array of rose gold toned shades that are neutral and go with any look / outfit. The palette has both matte and sparkly pigments to add detention and glam to your eye lids!
This mascara is my absolute favourite and can be found at the drug store! It's super inexpensive and gives lots of volume to lashes. I also love this product because it is water proof and therefor, smudge proof. A great tool to use for a night out!
NYX's butter lipsticks are the softest and smoothest feeling lipsticks I have ever tried. They are super moisturizing and buttery on your lips. The pigmentation of the colours are also super bright. This electric red one titled "Heat Wave" is a must for any Valentine's look.
NYX's butter glosses are super smooth and long-lasting! They obviously aren't as pigmented as a lipstick, but are great for that glossy lip - if that's what you're going for this Valentine's day!
These makeup brushes are absolutely gorgeous. They are in two of my favourite colours - pink and gold - and are 100% cruelty free. They are made with "teddy bear hair", so that means that no animals were harmed in the making of these brushes. They are totally synthetic, but still super soft! The kit comes with five amazing brushes, and a heart covered makeup bag to carry them in for on-the-go. There is a contour brush, blending brush, blush / powder brush, detail brush, and an all-over-shadow brush. They are so fitting to do your Valentine's makeup with!
Thanks for reading today, and if you try any of these products for your date night look - let me know in the comments below!

New Year's Eve Makeup
This New Year's I wanted to share a makeup tutorial on the blog! This look would go perfect with a black or gold sequin dress.
Products used:
Cocoa Contour by Too Faced
Naked Palette by Urban Decay (Virgin, Sin, Sidecar, and Creep)
Stila Stay All Day Black Liquid Eyeliner
Lipstick: Heat Wave by NYX
Check out the full makeup look + tutorial below!
Steps:
I already had my foundation applied, so I went right into the next step by adding contour with the medium shade in the Cocoa Contour palette by Too Faced. If you would like to know more about the foundation I use, and how to apply it, see this post here.
I put the contour in the hollows of my cheeks, below my jaw line, and slightly on the sides of my forehead, and sides of my nose to create definition and an illusion of a smaller, more narrow face.
Then, I used the shade "Virgin" in the Naked palette as my base eyeshadow. I patted this all over my eye lid. Next, I took the shade "Sin" and swept this from the inner corner of my eye, to about halfway across my eyelid. This shade gave lots of gold shimmer! Then, I took "Sidecar" to add more definition and put this on the outer corner, as well as the crease, blending it with "Sin". Lastly, I took "Creep" and brushed that in the outer corner and blended it into the crease.
I then added a small cat eye detail with some black liquid liner. I created this by using a steady hand to outline my shape, and then fill it in. (See video at 1:37).
The last step was to apply the classic red lip. This is a fiery bright red shade from NYX, that is super soft and silky feeling on your lips.
Happy New Year and here's to 2016!!!
Thanks for reading/watching!
