Back to School with Jouviance Beauty

As you may or may not know, my college program runs a little different than normal schools, and I started a new term at the beginning of October! I got this package from Jouviance Beauty just in time to add these products into my back-to-school beauty essential routine. Read my full review for each of these items below!

Summer Essentials from Bioderma

Bioderma has recently sent me some great summer essential products! Two of which are sun burn protection, and the other is a moisturizing tanning spray.

All three of these products are perfect for summer and Bioderma never fails to impress me with their skin care items! I was super excited to put these to the test, with all of the beautiful, hot weather we have been having in Toronto lately.

I have a lot of moles and freckles that have needed to be checked (and even removed before!) and have found my skin very sensitive to the sun over the past couple of years. Having a reliable sunscreen is very important to me.

I tried all of these out, and my full reviews are below! Keep reading for more...

The Photoderm Spray SPF 40
$29.95 for 200 ml at your local drug store

This stuff is an effective way to protect your skin against the harmful effects of the sun and risks of cellular damage and combats premature aging. It has an extra light texture and easily rubs into my skin. I thought it was a pretty decent coverage!

The only thing was - I am not a huge fan of the spray bottle itself, and I found it to be a little messy while trying to get the lotion out of the bottle. It isn't always easy to squirt out!

The Photoderm Milk SPF 50+
$27.95 for 100 ml at your local drug store

I absolutely love this stuff - from the bottle concept to the product itself! I love how it is such a high SPF and I feel confidant wearing this to protect my skin from the sun. I wore it while I was out and about last week on a day to the beach and running around in the super hot sun, and I had no burn at the end of the day! It felt amazing to have such a good protectant on. I would suggest to reapply throughout the day though, as one use may not do the job for as long as you are outside.

Moisturizing Tanning Spray
$19.95 for 150 ml

This stuff is so neat and I have never used anything like it before!

It comes out almost clear looking, but I actually did see results after a few days of use. Its super cool and smooth feeling on my skin, and dries instantly! There is ZERO traces of colour transfer and it gives a pretty even finish.

Keep in mind to spray about 20 cm away from your skin, and apply one a day for 3 days, and then once every 2  days, and only once a week to maintain the tan after that.

Removing Makeup, Moisturizing + More with Bioderma

Since living an urban lifestyle here in the city of Toronto, my skin has definitely changed. It is constantly feeling dehydrated, tight, and dry! External factors such as pollution, UV rays, temperature variations and stress are all contributing to my skin's appearance and feeling - and I'm always in need of something moisturizing at the end of the day! It is vital to keep sensitive skin properly moisturized and protected every day. Keep reading to find out how you can protect you skin!

I am loving these super moisturizing products by Bioderma. I have really enjoyed getting something new from them every once and a while! Each Bioderma PR package is like receiving lifesavers to my skin - at my doorstep. Below, read my reviews for their moisturizing makeup remover solution, and two new face moisturizers.

This Hydrabio H2O cleanses my skin and removes all of my makeup at the end of a long school day It is even able to remove my water proof eyeliner! I just poor some out onto a cotton pad, and wipe my face with it. It usually takes a couple of these to completely clean everything off!

My skin is feeling super hydrated ever since I started using this product, and the areas around my eyes no longer feel so dry and irritated.

Rich Moisturizing Cream:

This Hydrabio cream is for dry to very dry sensitive skin. With that being said - it is not for me! I have tried to use the smallest amount on my skin, but because of my acne prone and oily skin type, I actually ended up having some white heads appear after using this product! I would recommend this to those who have super dry skin on their face or neck - it will be super soothing for you and definitely do the job!

Gel-Based Light Moisturizing Care:

This light moisturizer is for normal to combination sensitive skin. I loved using this light-weighted cream formula all over my face and neck after the shower or before bed. It smoothed my skin and makes it feel hydrated, look radiant, but didn't cause any extra oiliness or breakouts. It is also a great source of Vitamin E for my skin. It's the perfect balance!

How To: Soft Skin in Winter with Bioderma

It's been so cold lately! In the continuation of winter, I have decided to write another helpful post on how to have soft skin in winter. If you missed my 'How to have Soft lips in Winter" read that here.

Bioderma sent me these three products - and they are the definition of skin survival in cold weather!

Atoderm PP Balm:

The first step to having soft, hydrated skin for me in winter is to have a great body lotion or cream.

This stuff is amazing because it soothes irritation and itching - caused by dry skin. It also has long lasting benefits that repair your skins barrier and preserves your skin's biological balance.

I apply this balm all over my hands, arms, legs, back, and feet - either right after my nightly shower, or before I get into bed. Those are my driest areas! I get a lot of tightness / discomfort especially on my lower back from dry skin. This stuff soothes, it and definitely does the trick!

The balm does have a bit of a greasy feel on my hands, but it eventually does absorb into my skin, and I don't even notice it!

Price: $29.95
Available in Drug Stores

Atoderm Shower Gel:

My favourite part of my soft skin routine is lathering up with this Bioderma shower gel! It's super nourishing and very gentle on your skin. I like to lather it up with my hands in the shower and use it directly over dry areas of my body. It leaves my skin super soft afterwards!

Price: $19.95
Available in Drug Stores

Atoderm Lips:

This natural raspberry flavoured lip balm is my new fav! I can't get enough of the amazing soft texture of it and the ability it has to repair my lips. My lips get super chapped in the winter weather, and especially with wearing super matte lipstick all the time. This stuff is a lifesaver!
