Always a Planner

I am so excited to be going on vacation very soon! I leave on Friday and will be going to Florida to visit my Grandmother - as I have done for the past two years. I have to say, I always plan ahead, but this year I really had things organized. I feel like the more jobs and things that I take on, the more planned ahead I need to be.

Today I wanted to share some of my packing and planning tips - in hopes that this might be useful to you for a future trip! I hate checking a bag and I only ever take a carry-on suitcase and a small backpack/purse.

Here is what I like to bring with me...

Backpack:

Carry-on:

♡ 5-6 tops

♡ 2-3 bottoms

♡ 2-3 dresses

♡ Swim Suit

♡ Sunglasses

♡ Makeup Bag

♡ Toiletries Bag (with travel size deo, hair spray, makeup wipes, cleansing stick, etc)

♡ In Case of Emergency Items

♡ Sandals, running shoes

Some of my favourite travel essentials would be...

"Let's Face It" Cleansing stick by MaskerAide - A solid cleanser that is a super easy oil to lather and great for travel! Plus it's pink, so it goes well with just about everything else I own.

Fujifilm Polaroid Camera - great for capturing instant vacay memories!

LASPA Mineral Sunscreen - The perfect natural sunscreen for covering up and protecting skin from UV and UVB rays. SPF30 is 100 ml so it is carry-on approved.

Lightweight dresses from Tobi. They have the cutest styles! Totally bringing mine along with me.

Some packing tips:

♡ Only take 1-2 pairs of shoes. They tend to take up so much room!

♡ Use the resort / hotel's shampoo and conditioner so that you don't have to bring your own

♡ Pack clothing pieces that easily pair with different things. Get ready to mix and match a bunch if you are staying for a week or more!

For planning my trip to Florida, I reached out to some Orlando Instagram accounts and asked where some cool spots were to check out. I have a whole itinerary planned of fun activities with Grandma and lots of insta-worthy spots I can't wait to check out!
