How The Fit Girl Gang Is Changing My Life


I recently joined Fit Girl Gang (a month ago) and I have to tell you - it's changing my life! This is a community of women who support each other in a fitness journey that you literally take on - all together! The workouts and meal plans are all virtual (online) but our coach, Jo is amazing and has really built this space to be positive, uplifting and extremely encouraging. I have never felt so motivated to want to take care of myself!

When Jo had originally reached out to me about joining, I took one look at the Fit Girl Gang Instagram page and knew immediately that this community was something I wanted to be a part of. I had (ironically) recently made the decision to do my own home workouts and start taking better care of myself, so I thought - this opportunity couldn't have come at a better time!

Flash to week 1 of the program - we were asked to do a 5 km run on DAY 2. When have I ever ran 5 km in my life? NEVER! This program is intense, but Jo really stresses that you can moderate everything and there is no need to push yourself or be hard on yourself if you can't do it all at once. I sure've had to take it slow and change things up to stay on track - but it's all about accomplishing things at your own speed - and being proud of yourself for what you DO accomplish!

Flash to a month later (literally yesterday) I joined a gym for the first time in my LIFE. I'm able to take my workouts to the next level now and I really enjoyed my first experience. Special thanks to my fave work wife / personal trainer Paola! She is my colleague and a good friend who took the initiative to start coaching me on my workouts throughout the week. 

Another part of Fit Girl Gang is meal prepping and being aware of what you eat. Especially when it comes to greens and protein! I have made an effort to not BUY or EAT any frozen meals and have cut back my sugar intake like crazy. I cook quite a bit now and use Sunday's as my main meal prep day.

Working out and eating better has seriously made me feel so good about myself in this last little while. I can't wait until I grow stronger and see the hard work starting to pay off.

LOOK 1 - PINK IN A WINK

This look is a go-to jogging or gym outfit. It's super fitting and great for those days when I'm feeling confident! I love the cut of this soft bamboo tee and the pink colour is also a win (of course!).










LOOK 2 - ATHLEISURE

You can still look cool while doing fitness, right? This is more of an outfit I would wear while working out at home (without the jacket, obvi) but I threw on the denim jacket for a street style / athleisure effect that could totally work for running errands after a quick home session.










LOOK 3 - PEACHY

This one is super cute and another great casual look for the gym or jogging. The top is made of bamboo and is a loose fit so it's super lightweight and breathable!
